Am Aschermittwoch ist alles vorbei!

lips

We all know the saying but no-one really wants to believe it - today - on Aschermittwoch, the Carnival season is officially over. As a dedicated "carnivalistin", on one hand I'm sad - but on the other, I'm happy it's all over for the sake of my skin. Being out in the cold weather for days at a time, wearing tonnes of lipstick and no gloves (because they just didn’t go with the costume daaarling!), my skin and hands need some special attention. But what should I use to return them to their pre-carnival beauty? There are so many products on the market, but nothing seems to live up to its promise. I don't mind spending one or two euros more for a quality product, but everything I've tried so far has left me disappointed. Luckily, this year I remembered a lip balm tip a friend of mine once gave me, so I took a trip to my local drugstore to buy it.  Once there I also came across another cream that caught my eye. It said “Intensive care for dry skin”. I tried the tester and was immediately convinced. It reminded me of the famous Norwegian hand cream, but was even richer. Armed with my new lip balm and cream I went to the cashier to pay and was happily surprised when they only charged me €4 for two amazing products. That’s a price and quality I can live with. So if you need to rejuvinate your carnival stressed lips and hands try them and see: Carmex lip balm and Glisolid cream (both available at Rossmann’s).
