American Women's Clubs - Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf

If you are new to the area you're probably wondering where to go to find people in the same situation as yourself.  One good place to start is The American Women's Club.  They organise events, get-togethers, baby groups, parties and outings, giving you an instant network of people who are happy to make you feel a little bit more at home in your new location. The American International Women’s Club of Cologne is a group of approx. 200 women from over 20 different countries, who get together regularly.  It's not just American women - the group welcomes all nationalities, and also welcome's the "other halves" to events and parties.  In Düsseldorf, the American Women's Club is also very international and organises get-togethers, parties, professional networking opportunities, mother and baby groups, as well as coffee mornings and social events. Both groups also produce a monthly newsletter filled with useful information about the area, plus tips and advice for newbies.  It's a great launch pad into the local area and an easy way to start to make new friends.
