Authentic Latin American food, drink and atmosphere

Amidst the greenery of Bad Godesberg’s Stadtpark, La Taverna’s soft lighting, warm colours, dark-wood furnishings and wonderful period bar and mirrors simply ooze Latin American charm. Be it an after-work drink, a family meal, a romantic dinner for two, a private party or a night of music and dance, La Taverna Latina has it all. Managers Marcelo and Constanze Humeres Correa (he from Chile, she from Colombia) make guests feel welcome and special. Their menu includes Tapas (try the Calamari), salads and pasta, Argentinean steak and grilled salmon. The fish platter for two is recommended in Bonn’s restaurant guide (Bonner Restaurantführer). In fact the guide gives La Taverna Latina a top rating right across the board. Celebrating Latin American culture and tradition, La Taverna’s live music events are cult – the most recent a homage to Argentine Tango. Argentinean singer Paula Barembuem, Colombian pianist Pablo Rojas and bandoneonist Ruei-Ran Wu treated a full house to tango music par excellence. As an added bonus, dancers Susanne Illini and Harald Rotter (BonnTango) gave a free hour-long tango lesson followed by a sizzling performance of tango ‘sensual’.
