Belgo Belga

Anyone who's lived in London will know of Belgo - the chain of Belgium restaurants famous for their beer and mussels with chips.  This may have the same name - but its not the same chain.  This is something quite special - a little slice of the best of Belgium right here in Düsseldorf. It's a magical little bistro with lots of warm red colouring, typical bistro furniture, art nouveau lamps and a warm and cosy atmosphere. The menu is full of Belgium specialities with added French flavours, like the typical Croque Monsieur - with duck liver, or the small salmon and green asparagus gratin - with orange sauce (€12.50). The menu is of course seasonal, so call in advance to see when the mussels arrive.  There is a more than suitable wine menu - but you won't be able to resist the thirteen different types of Belgium beer on offer.
