The best pizza in Cologne

Caminetto serves the best pizza in Cologne. Controversial as this statement may be - I've yet to find another place in the city to match it.  Being around the corner from my house I have indeed sampled their stone oven baked pizza's on many occasion and can contest to the fact that their pizzas are fresh, cooked in a stone oven and covered in the tastiest, freshest ingredients.  Caminetto is an authentic, Italian family owned and run, pizza restaurant which is reflected in the menu - it's classic Italian basic trattoria fare.  My family's favourite pizza is the pizza Chef with artichoke, olives, ham and mushrooms, and the pizza Rustika - a plain pizza topped with a thatch of fresh spicy rocket leaves and fresh parmesan.  If you venture outside of the pizza options you won't be disappointed with their unfussy traditional Italian pasta dishes.  Service is friendly and the place is nearly always full - so book a table in advance.
