Cowboys on Dope at the Spielplatz

Cowboys on Dope are a local Cologne band who play a mixture of Country, Rock, Blues and Western, and they may be German, but they sound like they come from deepest darkest Texas. They started out as part of the band Rausch, who toured for years with bands such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Faith No More and the B-52’s, before being  inspired by the Texan music they heard at the SXSW-Music Festival in Austin/Texas.  Cowboys on Dope was formed and has since toured with bands like Eels, Keziah Jones, Tito and Tarantula and the Scorpions, spreading their special brand of unique campfire meets rock-garage everywhere they perform.  They've just released their third album "Electric Sky" and will be playing songs from the album at Cologne's Speilplatz venue.  Pull on your boots, saddle up your horse and get on down with the Cowboys on Dope.
