Well are you? Living in a foreign country can be depressing sometimes, especially when you're still getting to grips with the language, the first thing to suffer is often your sense of humour.
So if you want to kick-start your funny bone get down to Fiddlers in Bonn on December 18th for a Christmas Stand-up bonanza that will have you laughing right through to the New Year.
Johnny Hollywood's "Comedy meets Christmas Music Show" will be serving up the best comic talent from all over Europe - plus live music, cabaret and loads more besides! Not only is Johnny a regular contributor to Rhine Online, he's also the comic empresario responsible for bringing English language stand-up to the Rhine region. He started off in 2003 with an English language line-up for the RTL Comedy Festival and since that first sell-out gig he's never looked back.
The shows have changed venue in Cologne three times: from the cosy Flanaghans to the showy Hard Rock Cafe, and now to one of Cologne's best comedy venues, The Alter Waatersaal. The Bonn show is also attracting a lot of attention down at the superb Fiddlers Irish Pub. The next Cologne show will be in March 2008, after the holidays and carneval.
