Sshhhh - keep this one to yourself...

Unless someone tells you about Stecken, you won't find it.  Tucked away behind Rudolfplatz, from the outside it's not much to look at, at all.  But step through the graffiti and poster covered entrance and you enter one of the coolest little bar/clubs in the city.  It's not full of hip party people, it's not got much to offer in terms of interior design and fancy deco - it's just a bar with a great atmosphere, inexpensive cocktails and cheap beer.  A variety of DJ's offer up funk and soul sounds and every now and again there's live jazz.  The bar staff are friendly and very efficient, and although it gets full, and you'll never get to sit on the sofa's - it's quite simply a great Cologne bar.
