Them Crooked Vultures in Cologne

If you've followed the career of Dave Grohl, post Nirvana, you will have noticed that he's not averse to sharing his musical talents with friends and colleagues. He played drums for a while with the Queens of the Stone Age, made an iconic metal album under the name "Probot" with various metal legends, including Lemmy from Motorhead, as well as doing stints with the likes of Killing Joke, Tenacious D, Nine Inch Nails and The Prodigy. His latest project "Them Crooked Vultures" is a superband made up of Grohl, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss) on vocals and guitar, and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) bass and keyboards - Grohl is back in his favourite seat - blasting out the beat on the drums. Rolling Stone says "This is the second-best band John Paul Jones has ever been in... Homme and Grohl pound away like fanboys... that's what makes Them Crooked Vultures fun: It's fan fiction with a classic-rock heart". It's not very often you get to see such rock legends together on one stage - let alone in one little city - so don't miss your chance to get tickets for the 8th December at the Palladium.
